myofascial release is a safe and effective technique that involves applying gentle sustained pressure into the myofascial connective tissue restrictions. these techniques can help to eliminate pain and restore motion. pressure is sustained for a period of time (typically for five minutes or more) in order to allow for the viscoelastic medium (fascia) to elongate.
myofascial release is a technique done directly on the skin without oils. often the part of the body that has the most pain or symptoms is not the part that is causing the problems. by looking at the body as a whole and addressing the fascial restrictions where they are felt/seen in the body, positive structural changes can occur and can prevent further restrictions/pain in the future.
